Ruby assists with drafting legal documents, research for legal matters and general administrative tasks. She also assists with giving workshops and presentations. Ruby is creative, empathetic and has a talent for writing, research and presentation.
Ruby was awarded a Bachelor of Production Design at the University of Melbourne in 2010 and worked in the film and theatre industry as a set and costume designer for several years. Some of her screen credits include The Sapphires, Redfern Now, and Black Comedy.

She then went on to complete a Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales where she received the UNSW Faculty of Law Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence for her essay on Indigenous Peoples and International Law. She is currently working towards NSW College of Law requirements to be admitted as a solicitor in late 2019.
Ruby is a descendant of the Bidjara and Iman people in Queensland. She has a broad knowledge of Australia having been born in Alice Springs, lived in Darwin, Cairns and studied in Melbourne. She now lives on the South Coast of NSW. A woman with a quick intellect and a big heart, Ruby was awarded the UNSW Nura Gili Spirit Award. She has a passion for all kinds of craft including sewing, beading and crochet. She loves the beach and all animals, especially dogs.
