Ms Terri Janke is a successful Indigenous solicitor, published author and businesswoman.
Her Sydney based law firm, Terri Janke and Company Pty Ltd is a private independent
Indigenous law firm. Terri’s firm has a charter to advance the protection of Indigenous people in respect of intellectual and cultural property matters. Terri is the author of: - “Our Culture: Our Future: A Report on Australian Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property Rights” and in 2004 “Minding Culture” for the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) plus the Australia Council’s ‘Indigenous Cultural Protocol Guides’. An introduction to Intellectual Property (IP) Management Plans for Indigenous Enterprise
Indigenous Intellectual Property specialist, Ms Terri Janke, presents half-day workshops.
Much of the growth in the Australian business sector has been due to the increasing importance of Intellectual Property (IP) assets. In 2001, Terri was awarded 1st place “Evolving Business” NSW Aboriginal Employment and Business Awards. In 2007 Terri Janke was accepted by Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) as a Preferred Service Provider (PSP).
