Objective: To support a Senior Solicitor through efficient administration of matters, client engagement, and coordination of key activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide executive and legal administrative support – prepare correspondence, reports, and legal documents; proofread and manage confidential information.

  2. Manage diaries and emails – schedule meetings, prioritise deadlines, track key tasks, and anticipate solicitor needs.

  3. Coordinate client engagement – draft engagement letters and follow-ups, support onboarding, and maintain accurate client files.

  4. Liaise with clients and stakeholders – communicate respectfully and clearly with clients, Traditional Owners and partner organisations.

  5. Assist with team coordination – organise meetings, take minutes, track actions, and support the smooth running of the Pod.

  6. Organise travel and events – manage travel logistics, prepare itineraries, and coordinate workshops, consultations, or conferences.

  7. Maintain firm systems and processes – use software tools efficiently and support ISO 9001 Quality Management standards.

  8. Contribute to culture and values – uphold the firm’s values, support First Nations empowerment, and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.

 

Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000p/a plus super

Selection Criteria

  1. Lived experience with Indigenous culture (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply)

  2. Studying law at University (year 3,4 or 5)

  3. Live in Sydney or surrounds (or willing to pay your own travel costs)

  4. Willing to attend our Mascot office (no remote & no hybrid with this position)

 

Timing; summer, or winter positions, from 2 to 8+ weeks, full time or part time. Flexible.

 

Remuneration: casual paid position
