Position description

Classification: Terri Janke and Company Indigenous Legal Intern Program

Basis: Casual, onsite (ROSEBERY NSW 2018)

When: Summer break, 2021/22

Your Role Terri Janke and Company is seeking Indigenous law students (3+ years) to join our team and be exposed to:

  • varied legal matters that are fulfilling and rewarding;

  • a progressive work environment that is collaborative and supportive;

  • ongoing skills development and training.

We are seeking talent who

  1. want a career in a private legal firm;

  2. have an interest in: intellectual property, commercial matters, employment or governance;

  3. have excellent research, analytical and drafting skills;

  4. want to empower Indigenous people;

  5. are intelligent and dedicated.


Open to Indigenous law students that have completed at least 3 years of successful study.

The position will be over the summer months, full time (excluding Christmas/New Year holiday break), paid, and supervised by an experienced lawyer. This is a great opportunity to be mentored in a unique environment, and to learn from leading experts.
