Tyrone is passionate about promoting self-determination for First Nations communities through developing frameworks to help support the protection and empowerment of Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP). Tyrone has extensive experience working with First Nations people across a broad spectrum of community and commercial areas of law.

Recent projects
Reviewing company constitutions and recommending amendments to make them more culturally inclusive;
Preparing First Nations Community Engagement Guides and Tools for government agencies and other organisations;
Delivering workshops with First Nations community organisations to gather feedback for improving legislation and policies;
Advising on the sale of a long-standing First Nations business;
Advising First Nations businesses on the trade mark process and how to protect their intellectual property;
Drafting consent agreements for organisations to engage Traditional Owners that account for ICIP and empower Traditional Owners to share knowledge that leads to better agreements;
Advancing the rights of First Nations people through ICIP;
Providing governance advice, developing rule books and constitutions;
Planning and delivering ICIP workshops;
Drafting ICIP protocols; and
Strengthening contractual arrangements for First Nations organisations.
Community
Tyrone is a proud Dharawal, Dharug, Wailwan, Yuin, Gunai Kurnai and Dja Dja Wurrung man who grew up on Bidjigal Country in Sydney. Tyrone enjoys being on Country, particularly by the beach where he feels most at home. In his free time, Tyrone enjoys staying active by going to the gym, running and swimming. He also enjoys going to the cinema and watching the latest movies.
